This year\u2019s summit gathers medical education leaders from across the ASEAN region to strengthen collaboration and transform shared needs into measurable action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>May 26th 2025,<\/strong> the summit begins with a <strong>traditional dance performance<\/strong>, followed by <strong>welcoming speeches and the official opening ceremony<\/strong>.<br>Speakers include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prof. dr. Yodi Mahendradhata, M.Sc., Ph.D., FRSPH<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prof. Dato&#8217; Dr. Yang Faridah Abdul Aziz<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prof. Dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure sessions<\/strong>, each addressing crucial issues in medical education:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Plenary Session I: The Current Challenge of Teaching and Learning in Medicine<\/strong><br>Speakers from the National University of Singapore, Universiti Malaya, and Universitas Indonesia explore how modern-day challenges shape teaching strategies and student engagement.<br><em>(Moderator: Thammasat University, Thailand)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plenary Session II: Innovation and Development of Educational Technology for Medical Education<\/strong><br>Experts from Hanoi Medical University and St. Luke\u2019s Medical Center College of Medicine (Philippines) discuss the integration of digital tools and simulation in medical education.<br><em>(Moderator: Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plenary Session III: The Future of Research in Medicine<\/strong><br>Chulalongkorn University and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia highlight trends and challenges in fostering impactful medical research.<br><em>(Moderator: Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plenary Session IV: Electives for Facilitating Student Personal Development<\/strong><br>Speakers from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Ramathibodi Hospital (Mahidol University), and Universiti Sains Malaysia present on using elective programs to nurture leadership, professionalism, and student well-being.<br><em>(Moderator: University of Medicine, Mandalay)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure and educational technology<\/strong>, covering teacher mobility, curriculum harmonization, learning resources, and simulation center sharing.<br><em>(Facilitators: Universitas Indonesia and University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Session II<\/strong> explores <strong>research and student engagement<\/strong>, including expert and topic identification, student mobility, and elective programs.<br><em>(Facilitators: University of Medicine 1, Yangon and Universiti Brunei Darussalam)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The summit emphasizes the ASEAN Medical School Network\u2019s commitment to co-creating sustainable solutions and reporting progress annually, driving forward a unified vision for health professional education in the
